Party
Right-click another player and invite them to a party (or use /party). Party members share experience with a bonus, their kills count for each other's quests, and they enter dungeons together. The party frames under your portrait show the health, mana and distance of every member - click a member to target your healing spells on them. Open the party window with P.
Trading with players
Stand next to another player (up to 3 steps), right-click them and choose Trade. When they accept, a trade window opens for both of you: drag up to 8 items (whole stacks, gold included) from your backpack to your side, or right-click an item and choose Add to trade. Hover over the other player's items to see their full description. The items change hands only when both players press Accept - any change to either offer cancels both acceptances, so nobody can swap an item at the last moment. The trade fails safely when someone has no room or capacity, and closes when you walk more than 6 steps apart, log out or die.

Guilds
From level 15 you can found a guild for 5,000 gold: /guild create NAME, then invite players with /guild invite NAME. Guilds have ranks, a message of the day, their own chat channel and can declare guild wars - kills in a war do not give skulls. The Guildmaster in the capital explains everything. Guild window: G.
Friends
Open the friends list with Z, type a name and press Add - or right-click a player and choose Add to friends. Friends who are online have a green dot, and you get a message when a friend logs in or out.
Market
Open the market with N in any town. List an item from your backpack with a price; offers stay for 7 days (up to 20 offers per player) and the fee is 2%. Bought items go to your depot, and the seller is paid even when offline.
Wandering merchant
Haddar the Wanderer never stays long in one place: every morning at 6:00 UTC he moves to the next town and sets up his stall on the town square. Type /merchant to find out where he is today and where he goes tomorrow - you also see it when you log in. He buys loot and equipment for 15% more than the best town merchant, and he is the only one who buys the finest treasures of the world - dragon and demon armour, royal blades and archmage staves.

His route (one town per day, then from the start again): Dawnhold → Crownhold → Gullhaven → Sandgate → Frostwatch → Silver Bay.
The best prices he pays:
| Item | Haddar pays |
|---|---|
| Demon shield | 10,406 |
| Abyssal sceptre | 9,320 |
| Staff of the ancients | 9,320 |
| Demon blade | 9,320 |
| Hellforged axe | 9,320 |
| Sun wand | 9,320 |
| Codex of the ancients | 9,318 |
| Demon armor | 9,318 |
| Thunder hammer | 8,292 |
| Siege crossbow | 7,324 |
...and 170 more: every loot item and piece of equipment the town merchants buy, for 15% more.
Bank and depot
The bank is shared by all towns: balance, deposit 1000, withdraw all, transfer 500 to NAME. Gold in the bank is used automatically in shops, by coachmen and by priests. The depot (chest in each town) is also shared and has 60 slots.
Houses
From level 8 you can rent one of the 48 houses in the towns. Walk into a free house - a message shows its size and weekly rent (20 gold per tile) - and type /house buy. Every character can rent one house. Items you put down in your house never disappear, not even after a server restart, and only you and your guests can step inside or reach your belongings through the door: /house invite NAME, /house kick NAME. Pay the rent with /house pay (up to 4 weeks ahead); /house shows your house, guests and rent. If the rent runs out, the house goes back to the town and everything inside is moved to your depot - even when you are offline. /house leave gives the house back at any time.

Citizenship and blessing
Priests grant citizenship of their town - after death you wake up in that town's temple. They also give the Blessing of the Dawn (say bless): 2,000 gold up to level 30, then 200 gold more per level (at most 20,000). Your next death costs only half the experience and skill progress, and you keep all your belongings. The blessing fades when you die; it does not protect players with a red skull, and hardcore heroes cannot be blessed.

Boosted creature
Every day (from 6:00 UTC) one ordinary monster is the boosted creature: it gives double experience and drops its loot 50% more often. Its portrait is shown in the corner of the minimap and it is marked with a gold star in the bestiary. Every monster gets its own day before any of them returns - never the same one two days in a row. /boosted tells you today's creature.

Monsters that can be the boosted creature (45): Aurochs, Bandit, Bandit Archer, Bat, Bog Beast, Bog Drowner, Cave Troll, Cyclops, Deer, Desert Scorpion, Desert Snake, Dragon, Fire Demon, Fire Dragon, Foul Mutant, Frost Raider, Frost Wolf, Giant Spider, Goblin Archer, Goblin Raider, Grey Wolf, Grim Stalker, Ice Golem, Mummy, Necromancer, Nomad, Nomad Archer, Orc Berserker, Orc Shaman, Orc Warrior, Pale Ghoul, Rat, Rotting Servant, Rotting Soldier, Scarab, Shadow Demon, Snake, Spectral Knight, Spider, Stag, Troll, Vampire of Varnhal, Venomous Spider, Wolf, Yeti.
Bestiary
The bestiary (I) counts your kills of every monster. One kill reveals its health and experience, a quarter of the goal reveals its loot with drop chances, and the full goal (100 kills for weak monsters, 250 or 500 for stronger ones, 1000 for the strongest, 5 for bosses) completes the entry and gives you +5% damage against that monster for good.
Charms
Every completed bestiary entry gives charm points: 15 for weak monsters, 30 or 50 for stronger ones, 80 for the strongest and 20 for bosses. Spend them in the bestiary (I, button Charms) to unlock charms - an unlocked charm is yours forever. Then assign it to one monster with a completed entry: the charm works only against that monster, and every monster can carry one charm. Select the monster in the bestiary and press Assign charm, or type /charm.
| Charm | Effect | Points |
|---|---|---|
| Wound | 5% chance that your hit deals extra damage equal to 5% of the monster's health. | 60 |
| Gut | +20% loot chance from this monster (when you defeat it). | 60 |
| Adrenaline Burst | 10% chance that a hit from this monster makes you faster for 10 s. | 80 |
| Dodge | 5% chance to avoid a whole hit from this monster. | 100 |
| Low Blow | +8% critical hit chance against this monster. | 100 |
| Vampiric Embrace | 5% of the damage you deal to this monster comes back to you as health. | 120 |
| Void's Call | 3% of the damage you deal to this monster comes back to you as mana. | 120 |
| Parry | 5% chance that a hit from this monster is reflected back at it with the same force. | 150 |
Removing a charm from a monster costs 100 gold per character level; the charm stays unlocked.
Prey
Open the prey window with the Prey button in the bestiary (I) or in the hunt analyser (X). You have three prey slots: the first from the start, the second from level 20 and the third from level 50. Every slot offers a list of nine monsters close to your level - choose one and you get a random bonus against it for 2 hours of hunting (the time only runs outside protection zones): damage boost (7-40%), damage reduction (12-40%), bonus experience (13-40%) or improved loot (13-40%). Stars (1-10) show how strong the bonus is. A new list is free every 20 hours (earlier for 50 gold per level). A new bonus costs 100 gold per level, renews the 2 hours and never makes the same kind of bonus weaker. You can also type /prey.
Hunting tools
The battle list (C) shows all creatures around you with portraits and health bars - click one to attack it. The hunt analyzer (X) counts experience, loot and used supplies per hour, your balance and the list of looted items. After a death the death recap shows who dealt how much damage to you. Below 25% health the screen edges pulse red (can be turned off in the settings, F2).
Party hunt analyser
Open it with the Party button in the hunt analyser (X) or in the party window (P). For every member it shows the loot they took from corpses, the supplies they used (potions and runes), their balance, the damage they dealt and the healing they cast, plus the party totals and the profit per person. The loot split tells you who should pay how much to whom so that everybody ends the hunt with the same profit - Split in chat (or /party split) shows it to the whole party. A new session starts when the party gets its second member; the leader can reset it with /party reset.

Maps and travel
Left-click any spot on the minimap or the world map (M) and your character walks there by itself - the route is found automatically, even to the other side of the world. Right-click a map to add your own marker with a name and colour. Coachmen and ship captains travel between towns (see travel).
Finding other players
The spell Seek Person (every vocation, from level 8, 20 mana) tells you where another player is: say ven eskar "Name". You learn the direction (north, north-east, east...) and the distance - standing next to you, to the north (up to 100 steps), far to the north (up to 250) or very far to the north - and whether the player is on a higher or lower level. In a dungeon the trail fades away. If nobody with that name is online, the spell costs no mana.

Daily tasks
Every day you get new hunting tasks (shown on the tracker). Completing tasks on consecutive days builds a streak with bigger rewards.
World events
From time to time monsters raid a town. The raid is announced 3 minutes before it starts. Defend the town with other players - dying during a raid costs no experience or items, and defenders are rewarded.
Rarity
Dropped equipment can be magic, rare, epic or legendary with bonus attributes like extra damage, life leech or speed - the rarer the item, the more bonuses. Legendary drops are announced to everyone.
PvP and skulls
Players can fight each other from level 8 outside towns and protection zones. The Safe / PvP button next to your health bar decides what a left click on a player does. Attacking an innocent player gives a white skull for 15 minutes; 3 unjustified kills within a day give a red skull for 3 days - a player with a red skull loses everything on death. After attacking a player you cannot enter a protection zone for a minute. Party members cannot hurt each other.
Hardcore mode
A hardcore character has one life and gains +10% experience. Death is permanent - the name is written in the Hall of Heroes and announced to the world.
Mounts, pets and outfits
Press R to ride the mount chosen in the stable (U) - you cannot mount during combat, and weapons are put away while riding. Pets follow you on your travels, outfits are changed in the wardrobe (Y). See mounts, pets & outfits.
Achievements, talents, season
See achievements, talents and the season pass.
